Scanned photo saved to BOTH DropBox and OneDrive

Scanned photo saved to BOTH DropBox and OneDrive

Helpful | Level 5

I have set my Canon scanner to save scanned photos a DropBox folder. They are saved in the expected Dropbox sub-folder. HOWEVER, the photos are ALSO getting saved to my OneDrive folder. I do not need or want them to be saved both places. How do I stop them from getting saved to the OneDrive folder? These are NOT the same folder.

It appears that the "MyDesktop" folder somehow got placed into the "OneDrive" folder. And since the "DropBox" folder was inside of (on) the Desktop, both DropBox and OneDrive were backing up the photos-- at least that is my current theory. I have moved "Desktop" out of the "OneDrive" folder. Things seem to be working ok now.

Hi @DHDorrough, thanks for joining the Community!

If the file is saving to the Dropbox folder, then it sounds like it's working fine. Could you check if OneDrive is somehow checking the Dropbox folder for new files, or if the scanner is sending files there?

This wouldn't be a feature from Dropbox, so something else on your machine is uploading the files to OneDrive for some reason.

Let me know what you find out!
