Currently on OSX the screenshot function only works when both the 'enable camera uploads' option and the 'share screenshots using dropbox' options are checked on.
there should be better control for the screenshot option. Curently I have no idea what will happen when I plug in devices with the camera upload option now checked. Also I do not want the link for the screenshot copied into my clipboard.
But the screenshots will not upload to dropbox without these options checked.
Please fix this
Hello there @danhilburn, I hope you're well today!
What you mentioned isn't an expected behaviour of the desktop app, and I wasn't able to replicate this on a Mac device with the latest OS and app installed.
Can you let me know what version of the desktop app you have installed, and the OS version your device is using?
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Daphne,
I am running OSX 10.15.7 & Dropbox v109.4.517
Testing again, I am still unable to sync screenshots unless the 'share screenshots and screen recordings' checkbox is selected. This is great, however still no option to disable the link being copied to clipboard.
That would actually be the option that needs to be enabled to allow screenshots to be saved to your local Dropbox folder to then be uploaded, @danhilburn.
At the moment, there isn't an option to disable creating a link for the screenshot, but I do understand why you would find this option useful.
Thanks for sharing your feedback on this! Sorry that I can't be of much more help with sharing a workaround on this.
If you have any questions, please let me know!
