I've been reading quite a lot about "Selective sync conflict"
It did it's job for years, but now on a new laptop it went horible wrong. (What is this? spellchecker doesn't work here!)
At last I delete all in the cloud, made it clean. Deleted the dropbox folders, and started from scratch.
"Selective sync conflict" keeps adding this to files and maps. Even more. I use dropbox on 2 computers. Same account.
Files are changed by a programm. No problem. Files with "Selective sync conflict" wil be deleted so now and then.
Folders with "Selective sync conflict" is a real problem. The program can't handle this.
Is my only solution to create a new account?
Hi @Kostenzer; thanks for posting on our Community and happy Monday!
Can you please clarify if you've already consulted the relevant documentation to see what you can do about this?
While we're at it, can you clarify the circumstances under which you notice this happen and what program you were referring to?

Here we go.
I installed, for years, Thunderbird. It has 3 parts.
The program it selfThe profile
I want the only the profile and its maps to be synchronised
The program and the mails are elswhere located.
I made a copy of the profile and installed dropbox.
Deselected the map I won't have synchronised. (Right part screendump)
Copied te copy, I just made, back and the conflicts are there.
Here they are also present.
Deleting them here results in deleting from the hdd Thats what I read and is good.
But, I want te deleted files in that map without synchronising. As it did many years.
How to archieve this (again)?
Thanks for those screenshots @Kostenzer!
From what I understand, you want to keep a copy of the folders that were unchecked in the local Dropbox folder, without them syncing to the account. Right?
In this case, I can suggest using these steps to "ignore" the local copies of the folders to prevent them syncing with the account online.
Let me know if that helps!
