Hello, I am new to Dropbox, and have encountered my first problem.
I am using the Private Dropbox option, and I have shared a folder with 2 people, giving both "edit" rights. Only one of the recipients can edit the files, and when they look at their options, it shows that they can Edit. The other person can open, but not edit, and shows that they only have View rights. On my Overview, it lists me as the Owner, and the two recipients as "Can Edit".
I have tried removing the "problem" person, and resending the invitation, but they still only have View rights.
We are both on the Basic version, and there is only 1 shared folder between the 3 users. I am the Owner, and i shared the same folder to the other 2 members.n The "problem" user has just installed Dropbox so this is their first foray in Dropbox. I am using Mac, and the user is using Windows 10. All OS software is up to date.
Hello Jay, problem solved, although i don't know why. We reinstalled Dropbox on the "problem" PC, and went through the setup with the person. Its very difficult to explain to a person over the phone (thanks Covid) what to do and how to setup, but managed to do so.
