Shared Folder - unable to restore deleted files.

Hi,

Just today I finished work on a Shared folder in Dropbox that contained several files and added them to our server. No longer wanting the other sharers to alter files in Dropbox, I deleted the files inside the shared folder, and then unshared the folder.  (I am the owner of the folder and the files.)

Now I need to look back at the files in this folder and can't find them. It just says the Folder is empty and there aren't any deleted files either.

I can find all my other deleted files from several days ago, just not the ones from the Shared Folder today. 

 

Please help.

Hello @itsangelina, let's see what we can find. 

 

Have you checked your events page and your deleted files tab for any other info about the files you're looking for? 

 

Could you also go to your Share tab just in case the folder was not unshared?

Have you checked your events page and your deleted files tab for any other info about the files you're looking for? 

 

Could you also go to your Share tab just in case the folder was not unshared?

Thank you Lusil,

I re-checked my Events page, Deleted Files tab and the Share Tab as you suggested.

 

Although the shared folder is visible, it comes up as empty.  The only files in the deleted files section are ones that I deleted several days ago from a different job. 

 

I tried reinstating the share function on the folder with my two co-workers,  but it still presents as empty.

 

I am just going to stop using the Share option of Dropbox as I obviously don't understand how it works.
