I am teaching a seminar and want only the students in the class to be able to view certain research data in the form of digital photos and not be able to share it with friends. Can Dropbox do this?

Hey there @DoctorB1 - how are you today?

To directly cut to the chase, yes of course you can do this. With Dropbox, you can create a sharable link to any file or folder in your Dropbox folder and anyone with the link can view the contents, but can’t edit them:

Users with Dropbox Business or Dropbox Professional accounts can also set a password or an expiration date for links they create too:

I hope this information helps and plese let me know if you have any more questions; I'll be happy to follow up!
