Something has changed in past week or two. Notifications used to be instant when I drop a file into a dropbox; it'd tell me "blahblah.pdf was saved to folder X". This is no longer instant, it takes 3-4 minutes to pop up. I rely a lot on it popping up instantly becuase I work between two computers and click the link the second it pops up.
Any way to fix this?
Hi @wgr73, thanks for posting on the Community!
I'm sorry to hear about this. Are the files you're adding to the account larger than normal lately, meaning it could take longer to sync to the site and then down to the other computer?
Is your bandwidth speed reduced for some reason, or restricted in the Dropbox desktop application?
Keep me posted!
On the second computer, does the file sync successfully according to the icon, and then the notification is delayed, or is the syncing delayed instead, and when it syncs, the prompt appears immediately?
In that case, could you re-install the app on the affected computer and let us know if it improved matters at all, @wgr73?
Hey @wgr73, thanks for letting us know.
Could you check if you have any OS updates currently pending?
Also, does this issue persists when you are connected to a different network?
Let us know what you find, cheers!
