Months and months pass and still there is no solution, no acknowlegement that the product does not work, not clear information as to refunds and no timeline for fixing the problem. Dropbox for Business is now simply aproduct designed to get people to pay a premium for services they are not receiving.
Support, a paid feature for dropbox business, has phne operators taking support requests, not support staff with technical knowlege.
Smart Sync, another paid feature, simply does not work. The only way to bring files in and out of your machine is selective sync.
It's amazing how long you've been able to get away with this scam.
I've had exactly the same experience Joonas... they clearly know about the problem, yet have no fix or alternative work around.
I'm holding out to see if they can find a fix soon, otherwise I'll have no option but to find an alternative online storage solution.

Today - same issue Conclusion? Dropbox is useless for helping clear computer space. Poorly marketed false feature. Good to know I'm not crazy.
Hi Rua, I have checked this with two separate drive measuring apps. This is not the case. The files remain on the hard disk.
I'm quite suprised that there is an incorrect answer saying that the problem is resolved.

This is getting ridiculous. I have 1.5TB available on my hard drive.
Yet DB thinks my drive is full - see screen shots
When is this going to be fixed
I might have the same/similar problem. I just started Smart Sync this morning because I wanted to move ONE folder online only. Before starting Smart Sync everything was fine. After that, every single file on my Dropbox folder has been reindexed and it still is reindexing AND draining my space slowly.
What am I supposed to do now?
