Smart Synch - leave folders visible in desktop app

New member | Level 2

Hi Dropbox, a suggestion for Smart Synching in dropbox: It would be very helpfull to leave the folder that doesn't synch with the desktop app (only online storage) visible in the desktop app. (Thois would save a lot of searching time

Thanks, hope you can include it in an update.

Dropboxer

Hello @Erna van der Werff, thanks for checking in with us.

I just wanted to clarify that Smart Sync does allow you to see files and folders locally in your Dropbox folder, even when they are set to be online-only.

If you don't see whole folders locally, it means that you've selectively synced them, which removed them from your hard drive to save computer storage.

For this reason, could you let me know if you're not seeing some files in your Dropbox folder that you've set to sync?

Keep me posted!
