Smart sync not working

New member | Level 2
New member | Level 2

I am running Windows 10 and have a Dropbox Plus account.  I am almost out of hard drive space so wanted to change some of my dropbox folders from Local to Online Only.  I right click on the folder, select Online Only but nothing happens.  The status icon is unchanged and if I return to the folder name and right click, it is still on Local.  I have closed and re-opened the DropBox App and also closed, restarted my computer, and then re-opened the dropbox app.

Hello @doht. Happy Friday!

Is Smart sync enabled? Let's check the Preferences of your Dropbox desktop application to see if Smart Sync is showing there.

Please find the steps you need to follow to do this here

If you find the Smart Sync options, set the default to "Online only" and then Select all your folders with your mouse> right click > Smart Sync> Online only.

If you can't find Smart Sync under preferences, prepare yourself. We will troubleshoot this together!

Let me know how this goes. I am here for all your questions. Thanks!
