Smart syncing issues

I'm out of disk space on my computer due to dropbox. I've made the switch to smart sync however there are over 30K files that need syncing according to the update. I know that these files are accessible online so, what would happen if i deleted them on my computer?

Hey @lrobinson; welcome to our Community!

If you've set the files in your Dropbox folder as "Online only" with the Smart sync option then you won't need to delete them; just let the app sync until it states it's 'up to date' in your system tray/menu bar.
 

If it's been stuck at syncing the same amount of files for a while, please send us a screenshot so that we can have a look too.
