Hi,

I have some folders containing gdoc files and .paper files that I had created in Dropbox. I synced my ubuntu laptop dropbox folder and had these on my laptop. After a while, I removed these files from dropbox, hence they stopped working. I uploaded the folder back to dropbox and now some gdocs work whereas other don't. Could you please help with this, these are extremely important work files?

Did you recover the missing files from the Dropbox site directly, or did you copy the gdoc files from your machine?

Thanks for getting back.

I copied the gdoc files from my machine to the synced dropbox folder on my machine, and it worked perfectly fine for the files in one folder but not for the other. When I tried uploading them they don't work either. I wasn't able to recover these files from dropbox website as these are more than 30 days old.

It sounds like the documents might not be possible to recover them from Dropbox.

Were the ones that didn't work originally created on the Dropbox site?

re you able to open those files directly on the Google Docs site, without using Dropbox?
