Hi I went over my capacity and dropbox sync stopped so I removed files from my dropbox to bring it under the limit but it is still saying that it is over the limit can anyone help as Dropbox won't even offer basic customer service shamefully

Hi @Fubar-man, I'd be more than happy to help!

If your Dropbox account is still reporting that it's full, could you check your Plan tab to see what's taking up space?

If you could send me a screenshot, that would also be super helpful.

Hi thank you so much for yore reply I don't know how/if i can post a screen shot will try to send you one if i can but I have the personal account at 2 GB is saying I've used 2.2GB so I sent into dropbox and removed about 1/2 of my files which are showing as been removed on my other devices put the space used has not gone down

If the files still come up on the web under your Files tab, try removing them from there. 

If that doesn't do the trick, could you clear your browser's cache and check your Plan tab again?

Hi thankyou for yore reply I have tried that and it is still the same (the files I removed are in the deleted folder so they have been removed) but it's not giving me the space back

Can you clarify for me, where are you getting the notification that you're account is out of space @Fubar-man?

Is it only one specific device? Does it show this notification when you check your account online too?

A screenshot would be very helpful here, so if you're not able to attach one in your reply here with the camera icon above the reply box, please send a shared link.
