Sync Issues with Win 11

For the past several weeks, continuous sync errors with Dropbox and Windows 11.  I've done clean installs of dropbox, unlinked, relinked, only on my Win 11 computers.  I can't even open files in file explorer, I get error messages saying they can't be opened, includes word docs, pp, pdf, png, etc.   I can open them online in dropbox.  I worked with tech a week or so ago, changed settings to open in dropbox desktop vs file explorer, but that has limitations.   Anyone have this issue and resolve it?

Could you provide more details as to exacting what errors you're getting on your machine?

Any file format results in a similar error, however I can open the same file in onedrive.

Do the files have green ticks on them when you're trying to open them?

Is the complete filepath (from 😧 to .docx inclusive) longer than 256 characters?

Hello,

Yes, there is a green tick, the files names are short.

I can open them on my win 10 computer w/ dropbox no issue.

So it seems a win 11 to dropbox issue.

If you quit the Dropbox desktop application and attempt to open the files, do they open normally?

If they don't try moving them out of the Dropbox folder and try again.

No, the files appear to be corrupt, so I had to remove them from my computer and redown load them from dropbox online. 

They work for 1-2 days, then same issue.

When you say redownload from the Dropbox site, are you downloading them directly? 

Are these files accessed by anyone else, via shared folders?

They are not shared files.  I unlinked my account, deleted my local dropbox folder and then relinked dropbox.  It made a new folder and brought down a new set of files from online.    The files work locally for a day or two, then won't open again.
