Sync issue - files no longer useable

New member | Level 2

Hello

I recently had a laptop copy of all files on my dropbox account. Unfortunately it recently died, so attempted to sync to a new laptop. However, despite all files being listed I cannot access photos/documents and play any MP3s. This is also true when I access the files online. They are clearly there, but not a single file I have tried will open.

If I create a new folder and copy them across I can then see photos.

Any idea whan is happening?

Thanks

So the files will open if you put them in a new location?

Is it possible that the folder structure you have is too long for them if you use Windows? 250-odd is about maximum. That includes C:\ etc
