Sync problem (gray cycle with minus sign)

New member | Level 2
New member | Level 2

Update: done!

----------------------

When I upload my files to Dropbox, the sign appears. After google with the problem, to avoid the problem, I deleted the folder with the same name in my Dropbox and kept the folder in my laptop. But after deleting the folder, my files still cannot upload to the Dropbox. I'm very confusing.

That means the folder has been removed from Syncing via Selective Sync.

You need to turn it back on via https://www.dropbox.com/help/175

My problem has nothing to do with selective sync. The problem seems to have fixed itself anyway. It's working again now.

I see how this works. Folder FRED has a grey minus. When I enable selective sync on FRED it creates a new folder on my PC called FRED (selective sync...)

But the original folder FRED still keeps the grey minus. How do I return to a synchronised folder called FRED? On my system the folder names do matter...
