Synced files and they are gone on my Macbook and Dropbox account

Synced files and they are gone on my Macbook and Dropbox account

Explorer | Level 3

I decided to sync all of my documents and they are completely gone from my desktop, and they are not appearing in my Dropbox account (on the browser and Desktop application). Within the folder on dropbox, it shows only a ".localized" file. Nothing else. Please advise on what I need to do to recover my files. Also this article was not helpful in resolving my issue, and will need another solution to help: https:confused face:/help.dropbox.com/installs-integrations/sync-uploads/computer-backup

See image on what I see on Dropbox. When the file is clicked, it is empty:

Dropboxer

Hi there @michelso; thanks for posting on our Community and happy Monday!

Could you please let me know the app's exact status as shown in your menu bar/system tray in order to advise further?

Thanks!
