Synching issues

Hello, I am having synching issues between dropbox on my computer and online. Not all of the files online are showing up on my computer. I tried all of the suggestions that were suggested in the troubleshooting video. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my computer. The files that are showing up have a green checkmark and seem to be synching fine, but other files are not showing up all at all. These are files that are shared with one other individual. I have this account synched on my desktop and it all seems to be working fine, its just on my laptop I am having this issue. Could it be a problem that my desktop is a Mac and my laptop is not? 

 

Any advice is appreciated!

Yes. If the files that won't sync have characters in their file names that are incompatible on Windows (or whatever your laptop is running) then they will not sync. You'll need to rename those files to remove any such characters.
