Am going to cry
I thought i was just backing up files then dropbox started "Syncing" and uploading all my files and now I can't find half of them or access them.
And things are on Dropbox and not on my desktop.
How can I find back my files and stop them from being in a cloud.
I just want the cloud as a back up not using my files dependent on internet connection???
hi there, how did you solve it? i have files i cant see on my desktop and dono why
I have similar problems, when I want to restore some of my deleting files. I click on the button "Restore", but all files are still "deleted". I don't know why. Dropbox has to have some big error.

Yup Lots.
Dropbox explained this as a backup but it seems like am working off the dropbox file constantly.
Also I keep clicking on certain files to open them and its saying link is missing and I opened them two days ago prior to drop supposedly "helping" me.
I also saw a note saying right click on the file to say on desktop only but can't find that option at all.
I feel sort of mislead by dropbox at this moment.
nope
its causing me more of a head ache than a help. I am quite nervous about loosing my files now.
