Syncing files i didn't tell it to

Hello,

I downloaded the app on my Dell PC with Windows 10 to manage 1 folder of larger sized photos. Since the free version has 2GB it would have been plenty for me, however even after unchecking what folders I didn't want it to sync or mess with, it is doing anyway. I have paused syncing and have noticed certain files not visible to me now. This is not what I wanted it to do, I wanted 1 folder to be managed. I'm not sure how to stop the syncing and get back the folders it took.

Hi @RH2_, thanks for contacting us!

Could you clarify in more detail on what is occurring on your machine, such as what folders you're syncing?

Are you using the computer backup feature on your device?

Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!

This is a laptop, I assume backup is active. I created 1 folder for larger photo files and only wanted that synced, but instead it is syncing almost everything, like 200 files...even after I unchecked the folders....I am using a metered connection and can't have all that data being used for no reason. What I want to do now is stop it from syncing, make my folders it synced visible on my desktop again and delete Dropbox.

Could you try disabling the computer backup, if it is enabled, and then choose the option to move the folder back to the default location outside of the Dropbox folder?
