Syncing update of file from search line win 10

KorenAvni

Hello friends How is going on your day?

I often open my files from the search line in Win 10 (Attached screenshot#1).
Today I find that the file did not update when I open them from the search line,
You can see in screenshot #2 has a different file address.

Any solution, please?

Hmm.. Seems like you might have an inactive old Dropbox folder in the "Koren Anvi" path. I suggest to move the file to the desktop Dropbox folder path and rename the old Dropbox folder you have to avoid confusion.

Hi @KorenAvni, I am having a really nice Monday and I hope the same for you!

I don't see the Dropbox icon on your computer's menu bar and this means that the desktop application is not working. What happens when you download the latest version of the Dropbox desktop application?

Do you see the Dropbox icon appearing on your menu bar after downloading and running the Dropbox desktop app?

Thanks!

Hi, Thanks for your fast response!

Attached screenshot of my menu bar and I see my dropbox icon is available.
My Dropbox version is: V87.4.138

I clarify my problem again- I open my file from search in the menu bar and after I open the same file from the dropbox folder and the original file didn't update, but when I search again the file from the menu bar- I find the updated file..

Please let me know if you understand the issue,
Thanks

Thanks for adding more details.  I understand now.

Since the file you see when you search is the updated version. Please let me know the path of this updated file you see when you search.

Is Dropbox in the file path?

Example of a file path/panda_folder/bamboo_recipes_doc”.

If not then the file was updated in another location and this is why Dropbox has not saved/synced the updates.

Hi,

You can see the path address when I open the file form the search bar menu.
The third line is when I open the file from the dropbox folder.

The difference between them is: "Koren Avni" and "This PC.
