Team folder - can I create other folders that are not part of the team folder?

If my free account was set up based on an invitaton from a team account can i create separate folders not part of that team folder. As it is every time I add a folder that has nothing to do with the team folder it still shows as a folder within the team folder

Can you just confirm for me, was the invitation to be part of the folder, or actually to become part of the team?

If you check your plan page here, what is your account's plan?

Also, do you see a purple folder in your account with your name in it?
