Share link in word not opening
I have the share folder link and after inserting the hyperlink into a word document, I find that the link does not open the folder
I get the error message:
"Unable to open https://www.dropbox.com/sh/.........dl=0 Cannot download the information you requested"
The share link works from an email but not a word document.
Can anyone assist please
Peter

I think I can explain this. Please see my reply to another similar post > https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-files-folders/Excel-Hyperlinks-to-Dropbox-URL-are-no-longer-...
I have the same issue. I am using word 2016 and can open links from drop box in an e-mail but can't open them in word. You mentioned that word might not be able to parse it properly.
Do you know how to fix this problem as I need to be able to hyperlink the drop box documents into my word document.
Thank you.
Hi @Michelle L, if the Dropbox link works normally in the browser, but can't be opened via Word, then it would be an issue with Word directly, and there isn't anything we can recommend directly.
You can try contacting Microsoft support for further assistance on this matter.
