Transfer Folders To My Second Account

New member | Level 2
New member | Level 2

I currently have two Dropbox accounts. I'm closing one account and want to move the folders/files to the account I'm keeping. I've shared the folders with the account I'm keeping and transferred ownership of those folders to that account. Can I safely delete the folders/files from the account I'm closing without them being deleted from the account that I'm keeping?

Hey @qnycnita, you’re definitely on the right track with the account migration & it seems that you’ve already done most of the necessary work to continue working with your second account. Now, you’d only need to remove your access from the shares from your first account, just so as to ensure that any deletions will not affect them on your second account you’d like to keep active.

I hope that this is answer you were seeking, however please let me know how you get on with my advice on our discussion here. Thanks!
