Unable attach files from Dropbox

Unable attach files from Dropbox

After software updation to iOS.14 I am unable to attach any file from Dropbox to my hotmail or whatsapp posts ,from the respective location of doc

I have to go to the respective location first - say photo library, select the photo and then export it to mail .

The disadvantage of this is - if you reply to a post or mail and want to attach docs etc in the reply , it is not possible now.



Shall be grateful for a workable fix .

I'm sorry to hear about this. Could you check if the Dropbox mobile app is fully updated on your device?

 

When attempting to attach files previously, did it export the files from the iOS Files app? Is Dropbox saved as a location on there?

Hi Jay,

Yes my Dropbox mobile app is fully updated.

Earlier, by pressing email attachment menu I was able to explore and go to Dropbox. Now it is not showing Dropbox. Please help

In that case, it was using the iOS Files app to check your Dropbox account.

 

Can you see if Dropbox is enabled there, and if you're able to navigate the folders in there?

Hi Jay,

I couldn’t quite understand the technical part of your reply.


When I press attach button, it gives option of choosing from iCloud and On my phone. It doesn’t give the option of drop box. Previously, it used show “ files” which further was leading to Dropbox.

I don’t know whether I am making myself understood .

I checked iCloud settings wherein Dropbox is enabled . But the problem persists

Hi @SSBHAT; how are you today?

 

I'm not sure if this will do the trick, but can you please open the Files app on your device and press ‘edit’?

 

Under locations you should see all available locations with Dropbox toggled off. Please switch this on and press 'done'.

 

After this is done then, please try again.
