Unable to delete "My Mac" folder in Dropbox despite deactivating back-up feature...

Okay, I know what you're thinking... "This topic again??? Come on, man. DO YOUR RESEARCH!"

Let me give you a rebuttal... I have. I searched through many discussion topics relating directly and indirectly to mine, as well as some of their replies from community members and "Dropboxers" alike. I couldn't find any new responses to my type of case. So here we are.

With that out of the way (lol), here's my predicament:

- My Dropbox app has been deleted off my Macbook desktop

- My Dropbox account preferences have been adjusted so that the desktop backup feature is turned off

- And the folder itself, "My Mac (Cole's Macbook Pro)", is empty, so there are no files taking up space

I guess with that last point, this is just more of an organizational issue than a storage space issue, so it's not an urgent or "high priority" matter. But still. If I can get this folder out of my Dropbox, I can also get it out of my mind, haha. So I suppose it really is a storage space issue.

Anyway, does somebody have any ideas on how to remove this folder from my Dropbox even after all of the other steps have been taken? Or is this just a "full-on-Dropbox-support-team-power" thing?

Thanks! 🙂

Hey @cfewin23, thanks for posting on our Community and sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Could you please confirm that you've followed these steps to disable the computer backup feature before uninstalling the desktop app form your device?

If you did, what option did you choose? Was it to "Keep content in folders on you Mac" or "Leave content in Dropbox"?

Keep me posted!
