Unable to open PDF from Dropbox Explorer...

Hello,

I have 2 computers on the same wifi network, having exactly the same software versions except the OS :

C1: Win 7 Pro 64 + Dropbox v.139.4.4896 + Acrobat Reader DC v.2021.007.20099

C2: Win 11 64 + Dropbox v.139.4.4896 + Acrobat Reader DC v.2021.007.20099

On C1, when I double click on a Dropbox PDF through Windows Explorer, it launches Acrobat Reader and displays the PDF.

On C2, when I do the same thing on the same PDF, it launches Acrobat Reader but displays an error message: "An error occured while opening the document. Path does not exist."

Any idea why I get this error message on C2 whereas it works on C1 ???

Thank you so much for your help.

Can you try moving the file in to a different directory, ideally the root of Dropbox, or, if its got a long name renaming it? Sounds to me like the file path is too long

Woooow. Thank you so much Mark !! You're right !

I've renamed the file with a shorter name to be sure and now it can be opened on both computers !

That's incredible. I still don't understand why the long name can be opened on computer 1 but not on computer 2, as both systems are Windows 64 bits, but anyway, you were right and that's gorgeous !

Thank you superhero. 😊😘
