Unable to remove folders that have been shared with me

New member | Level 2

I have been trying to remove several folders from my Dropbox that have been shared with me. I have tried following the steps outlined in other discussions, but what is being listed is not working for me. From what I understand I should go to the folder, click on the share button and go to the dropdown of my name to remove access. However, when I click on the share button I only get two options, Invite Via Email and Add to Trello.  I do have access to edit these folders, so I would have thought I could remove them??

Thoughts anyone?

Hey @maf231. Welcome to the Community!

Hmmm..  This could be a browser issue or a permissions issue. Are you doing this on the website or your desktop application?
If your ae on the website, your browser might not show you all the options, if there are plugins or if it's not updated.

Fix

  • Restore your browser to it's default settings.
  • Clear your browsers cookies , cache and plugins.
  • Try incognito/private browsing mode.

If things look the same, I would like to see what you see. A screenshot of the full screen where the folder is listed and the options you get there would be super helpful, for me to provide the next steps.

If you don't want to share this with the Community, just let me know and I will reach out to you via email.

Thank you!
