Upload of large directory from external hard drive

I have to upload around 1.5 TB of data (spread over a million files) to dropbox. Unfortunately i cannot store the data on my notebook (not enough storage space) and sync from there. Transfer of the whole directory through the web interface is painfully slow - in two days i hardly made any progress. My internet connection is not the issue here, as i have 50mbit upload speed.

is there any way to transfer very large directories directly to dropbox? maybe a third party software that can directly upload to dropbox?

Hi @nuklearwanze, thanks for dropping by. 

Although we can't offer much input for third party apps, I wanted to mention that you can still use the desktop app to upload these files. 

Instead of uploading them in one go though, you can do it in smaller batches and, once they sync, use Smart Sync and selective sync to save computer storage.
