Uploaded .pdf change extension to .icloud and immediately reappear after delete

I am having this issue uploading .pdf's (only happens to a select few). Soon after upload their extenion changes to .pdf.icloud and displays the alien symbol. I attempt to remove the .icloud extension, still does not recognize the file. Even when I delete the files they immediately return with the alien symbol. This happens with both upload methods dragging and dropping and upload button. Any clue as to what is going on?

Hi @Lough01, thanks for messaging the Community!

It sounds like the PDFs are being moved to iCloud first, replacing the file with a placeholder as the original is uploaded to their servers. When you remove the .icloud extension, this won't bring back the file from iCloud, since the placeholder has no data on it.

Could you check if your iCloud settings are somehow affecting the files in the Dropbox folder?
