is it possible to reset data from the basic version after upgrading to Dropbox plus? Or can I only use rewind for the data that came onto the Dropbox after the subscription and the previous data is lost?

Hello there @MarWin; welcome aboard!

 

You'll be able to use the Rewind feature on files you had stored in your account prior to upgrading, but your new version history for files will start on the date you upgrade. It won't work retrospectively in case you'd like to restore deleted files outside your account's recovery window.
