Video files not syncing properly from phone to PC

Can any one help...
I can get all my pictures and videos from my phone storage into Dropbox on my phone.
I then intend on moving all of those files onto my computers hard drive but when I go to do this I can only see the photos. The videos are only a blue icon and when I click on them a message appears ‘ this item was encoded in a format that’s not supported’ and only the sound plays. No picture of the video at all.

I have no idea what this means.
Please help!!

Hello @Maxi_mum, thanks for checking in with us. 

 

It sounds like the desktop app is still trying to sync the video files you're trying to open, which means that the device does not have all the necessary information to preview them. 

 

You'll have to give it some time until syncing is complete and the green check-mark icon appears on the files.
