Why am I getting a message that files were deleted if I'm just moving them?

Hello,

I have been moving files to different folders, but whenever I move a group of files, I receive message stating that they've been deleted. Although when I go to view said files, they haven't been deleted, they exist and are usable.

Example: If I am moving 28 files into a different folder, I receive a small little message at the lower right corner of my screen stating "You have deleted 28 files".

Hey @Sioban, I’d happily clarify the reasoning behind this behavior! 
 
Kindly note that to Dropbox moves are perceived as an addition (i.e. to a new location) & a deletion (from the original one) & the note you received is a proactive measure aiming to give you a bit of insight just in case this wasn’t intentional.
