Why do PNG open Low-Res?

Why do PNG open Low-Res?

New member | Level 2

I upload the photos as high-res PNG images with 300dpi. But if you open them from DropBox they are low-res 72dpi.

Any suggestions as to how I can keep the PNG's 300dpi?

Note that they need to have a transparent background hence they need to be PNG.

Many thanks

Hi there @ChrisCLC19, thanks for reaching out to us here!

Most likely, what you're seeing is due to the preview of the file that is generated.

The file itself will be the exact same resolution as when you uploaded it to Dropbox, which you can confirm by downloading the file locally to your device to open it.

If you're just viewing the file through Dropbox, a preview of the file is generated, which may be why it appears to be a lower resolution.

I hope this info helps, let me know if you have any questions!
