Why is My PC and Downloads ran through Dropbox and how do I make dropbox stop?

As you can see dropbox has hijacked my computer and i'm totally pissed. I'm sure it was something during setup but my God  I just want it removed. Please help. thanks

Hi @dwizz, not to worry, let's see what we can do on this. 

You are right, during your setup, computer backup was enabled which is what added your Downloads folder to your Dropbox folder. 

You can move the files back to their original location by first turning off the feature. 

Could you have a look at this article which has more info and relevant steps on how to do it, and let us know how it goes?
