Why is my desktop app still syncing after trying to make files online only?

I get that there is an online only

I have tried to add this feature to my home Mac - I think it is working as the mac doesn't now have the files on there

However I'm working away and my work mac is still trying to sync 800MB of files I don't want

Hi there @carlvr

Thanks for checking in with us! I'd be more than happy to help.

If you have folders that you've removed from your Dropbox folder locally, it sounds like you've used selective sync

To make a folder/file online-only, you'll have to right-click and select the relevant Smart Sync option from the drop-down menu. That way, you'll be able to preview paths in your Dropbox folder but the content won't take up as much space.

If you're still having trouble with this though, could you please send me a screenshot (without any personal info) of what the Dropbox icon shows when you hover over it on your menu bar?

Let me know how it goes!
