I had an account. Last week an UpWork adviser asked me to use his account and mine has disappeared. I have reregistered with the same email address and password but all my files are lost. When my Dropbox account was cancelled then all duplicates were lost.
If the account has been closed/deleted etc. then no there isnt. however, you need to explicitly do that.... im wondering if you've accidentally set up a new account instead of logging in to your old one.
Check emails from Dropbox previously to make sure email addresses match.

I am sure I didn't close my account. I had no wish or need to do so, and I'm sure Dropbox would have alerted me if I was closing an account and therefore losing all my files. I tried to login with my email and PW but was told the account didn't exist. I was asked to register again and I used the same email and PW. I was told my Dropbox was empty. Dropbox now routes me to my new empty Dropbox instead of old full Dropbox.
I know Dropbox is a syncing system and not a storage system, and I guess I need a separate storage system that stays safe.
