backup folder name is PC. Doesn't even have the computer name in it

on the current version of the Dropbox App, the computer backup file folder is named PC and doesn't even have the hostname in it.  version 126.3.4577.  How can this be changed Windows, FWIW.

There are no settings for that. The name is detected automatically and cannot be changed.

Do you have any other Windows devices linked to your Dropbox account? 

If not, this might be why. You can see a list of connected devices on your Security page here.

 

Keep in mind you're also using the beta version of the desktop app.

 

You can change that by going into your account settings on the Dropbox website and turning Early releases off.

 

After that, install one of the stable builds of the Dropbox application.

I'm seeing this exact issue as well on my Windows laptop on Dropbox v126.4.4618. I have disabled beta/advance releases. I have multiple laptop folders selectively synced to my Dropbox. This is the only laptop I'm trying this 'backup' feature.
