My Dropbox account has “Downloads” backed up automatically.  This is taking up too much memory, so I went to the “Back up your PC automatically” and un-checked the” Downloads”, but when I try to save this setting, I get an error “Couldn’t stop backup”.

Re: backups

Hi @e-farmboy; thanks for joining our Community and happy Monday!

Could it be that the desktop app on your computer hadn't finished syncing in the first place when you tried to disable the computer backup feature?

Assuming that the app shows 'Up to date' within your system tray/menu bar, can you reboot your computer and try to disable the feature anew?

Keep me posted on your progress!
