deleting desktop

New member | Level 2

I inadvertently allowed my desktop to be loaded onto Dropbox which was then full to the limit. I found the option 'don't sync with Dropbox' so was able to save all the items and programs I wanted on my Desktop while removing them from Dropbopx. But Dropbox keeps telling me its full and sends too many meassages prompting me to upgrade and other stuff.

I tried the chatbot but it was stupid, obviously not programmed to deal with this.

How can I safely dump the Desktop from Dropbox.

Regards

Hi @SDMG,

The issue name is "Computer Backup" feature. :winking face: In such case, just turn it off. Take a look on part "Turn off computer backup" and in point 6 choose "Keep content in folders on this PC/Mac", not "Leave content in Dropbox". That's it. :slightly smiling face:

Hope this helps.
