i recently joined a volunteer organziation and the president granted me access to his dropbox folder. however when I try to access it through the email link he sent, Dropbox indicates that I do not have enough room on MY dropbox account to open his folder. I wanted to see if there was anything that could be done. It's not my folder, it's HIS folder so I"m not sure why i need space for it in my account. thank you.
Yes it does count towards your quota. Unless you are in a Business Account anything in your folder counts against your quota.
If you do not need read/write access then ask him for a shared link instead.
