hi
I always use "camera upload " to save my photo from iPhone to the computer,
but, somehow, I find recently the uploaded file always have 2 "almost the same" file, the original and filtered one. I didn't happen in the past, can anyone tell me how to solve this problem?

Is there any way to stop this double upload? My iPhone uploads started doing this too. There seems to be the original picture, and a picture that the iPhone "touches up" without my control. So I'm getting two copies of everything on Dropbox.

Yes, I finally figured mine out. The double entry is due to 16:9 being turned on. It saves a 4:3 and 16:9 photo. Simply choose 4:3 to stop it. The bummer is 16:9 is what we need nowadays. The iphone always saves at 4:3, Apple get with it....
Ok but how the heck do you change the aspect ratio?? On ur iPhone settings or ur DB settings?? Little more nfo, pls!
Thanks for joining the discussion @HelionPrime!
It seems @stucker is referring to the aspect ratio when taking photos on your iPhone. To change this setting you can:
Otherwise, if you're taking photos with another filter like portrait mode, this would also cause the same issue as described above.
Let me know if this helps!

"Currently, there’s no option within the Dropbox mobile app to disable the double upload of both the original and the altered photo. "
Yes, this is the problem. I can't figure out why there are 2 copies of each photo getting uploaded from the iphone, but they do both have the same timestamp. Every single photo is uploaded to Dropbox twice.
At some point I will have to find a new solution, but it's dropbox that will go, not the iphone.
This problem is marked as "Solved" but it's not solved. This reply doesn't even claim to solve it, it just says, yeah it will happen.
This is not to live with. Have you found a good alternative app? That is easy migrate to from Dropbox without losing picture quality?
