dropbox is full/new account

dropbox is full/new account

I just opened a new account to add some video tutorials to and dropbox is telling me I am out of space. This video is the first item I have tried to add to dropbox. Why would I get the message saying I am out of space already since it is a brand new account?  I struggle with technology at times so please answer me in a way that someone who is very new can understand.

You have a limited quota of space (probably 2gb - but you can check at www.dropbox.com/account). Therefore if you upload something which is larger than that (say 2.1gb) you are over quota. Thats regardless of if its a new or an old account.

The other thing which has an impact is if you've accepted any shares (www.dropbox.com/share) as they use up your quota as well.
