A friend shared a folder with me and we both have all the files of the same folder on our machines, both Windows 10.
As soon as I manipulate a file on my laptop in that folder it keeps getting overwritten by the version that is stored on the other PC.
What am I doing wrong, how can I change it?
We tried deleting the folder and copying it back into the shared folder. When I try to restore the old file via the Web Version of Dropbox It still keeps getting overwritten with a message "your friend just edited bla.json".
I am Happy to hear back from anyone who can help.
Hey, thanks for your reply! I reinstalled the app, but that didn't make a difference...
I changed it first and then my friends Dropbox changed it again....
Best regards, Julius
Could someone from the Dropbox team PLEASE contact me via Email and maybe call me so we can use teamviewer and solve this issue. I am SO CLOSE to getting really annoyed and switch to another Storage System. This has been so much extra work for me...
Thanks for your reply. We tried that and it does that RIGHT AWAY. So there must be an issue with Dropbox.
An interesting side note:
He invited me twice to that shared folder so i somehow had it twice and maybe thats where things got mixed up..?
The way we work is changing. Share and discover new ways to work smarter with Dropbox in our community.Sound good? Let's get started.
