Why does dropbox keep creating a Dropbox > PC > downloads folder in my user profile when I download any file from the internet. I want to have the file go to my PC downloads folders not to dropbox.  I do not have backups enabled.

Hi @Terrasmith - thanks for posting on our Community and sorry to hear about this.

Just to make sure we're on the same page, could you send me a screenshot of how this looks like on your end?

You can do this with a sample file for testing purposes to not share any personal information publicly.

Thanks so much!

It appears to me that when I installed dropbox it changed my default download folder in my browser to Dropbox > PC > downloads.  I went to my browser settings and changed it back to PC > downloads and now it is no longer going to dropbox.  My dropbox is getting close to capacity so I don't have the space to have downloads saving there.

It would have been nice during the dropbox install that I was asked if I wanted my downloads to go there.

Problem solved.
