file locking by pro users should not be allowed on files/folders 'owned' by plus users

Explorer | Level 3
I have no problem that file locking is available for pro and above users. However, if the owner of the file is a plus user, pro users should not have file control privileges ABOVE the owner of the file. This makes no sense that a file that I own can be controlled by someone else. Asking the person to unlock the file and waiting for a response is not a solution.

IF I was not the owner of the file, this would be fine, but as the file owner, dropbox should not let pro users have higher file control privileges.

Dropboxer

Hello @jh0st, thanks for checking in with us.

While file locking allows users to lock a file from being edited, it can be applied if they are the owner or have editing permissions to a shared folder.

In any case, I understand how important this is for you and thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.

If you have any other questions in the meantime, don't hesitate to give us another nudge. Cheers!
