files to be ordered by date (having the newest on top) without changing name order on folders

Hi!

I've been having some trouble with Dropbox folders and files..before, all folders used to be in alphabetical order (ascending) and all files in the folders were in date (descending) first and alphabetical (ascending) second....now the files appear scrambeled somtimes and sometime by date with the newest on the bottom ...
I wish for a solution that will keep my sorting as default, so i don't need to sort everytime i go in a folder and also without scrambeling the order of folders, that i wish to have alphabetically  ...
(Most probably it was already discussed...but i lost the patience looking through the threads ... )

Thank you in advanced for you time!

Hi there @Denisia, thanks for reaching out to us. Let's see what we can find.

I tried this as well and I'm afraid I'm not able to sort folders and subfolders differently in terms of ascending or descending order.

However, since you mention that you were able to do this, I just wanted to clarify:

  • Were you able to sort them differently regardless of the browser?
  • Did this happen with regular/private folders or shared folders?
  • Have you attempted this from another browser or an incognito now?

Keep me posted!
