Due to the small space at C drive, I have to move the dropbox folder to another drive. Then I clicked the "local", but nothing seems happened. Is there a way to make all the files local so I could copy them over to a portable external drive? thanks
Hi @liangy10 - welcome to our Community and happy Friday!
Can you send me the exact status of the desktop app at the moment (after you've moved your Dropbox Folder) as shown within your computer's system tray so I can have a visual to assist further?
thanks Walter! what do you mean by "exact status of the desktop app at the moment"? This is what it looks: it says uptodate (pic 1), but only a few local files were synced to local drive (pic 2). The other files are still online, so if I check the file size, the actual size is much bigger than the file size on disk. Thanks!
Thanks for the screenshots @liangy10!
Can you right click on the files that aren't set to 'Online Only' and see what options you get there?
Can you try making a file available locally? What are the results?
In addition, I'm not seeing any syncing icons on the files within your second screenshot apart the one you've highlighted for me. Are those within your Dropbox folder as well?
Thanks for the update @liangy10!
There appears to be a problem with the Dropbox software currently installed on your computer so please re-install it using the offline installer of our most recent stable version:
