Hi Canon4me, I placed everything through the sync option to “online only” and it fixed my issue. Right click on either the folder you want online only or the Dropbox folder and set it to online only, it won’t fill your computer hard drive that way it only goes to the cloud so you need internet to access it once it’s there

Do you have enough hard drive space?

Hi Mark, I wasn’t aware I needed hard drive space as I assume Dropbox is cloud based and I don’t keep these files on my computer anyway they are on a separate drive, I will check the storage on my drive, can I move all these files off my drive to Dropbox

I'm a new Dropbox subscriber and I'm having the same problem.  I have 640,000 gigs I want to put on my Dropbox cloud that has a 2 terabyte plan.  Dropbox says it is as simple as dragging a giant folder for instance from your external drive into Dropbox and it puts it on the cloud exactly as it was on your external drive, BUT, it's filling my internal drive up and it says it is running out of space.  I'm completely confused!
