iPhone camera uploads

My photos normally upload fine from my iPhone but it is currently telling me my upload is paused because I’m out of space, yet my Dropbox is only 50% full. I still have 2.5GB available. I have tried plugging in, connecting and disconnecting from Wifi (settings allow use of cellular), but nothing is working. New photos seem to be uploading but my older stuff is stuck.

Hi @Amyjanec13, thanks for reaching out to our Community!

This error message you're getting actually refers to your phone's memory, as the Dropbox app temporarily stores a copy of the photos to its cache, then uploads that to Dropbox and when the upload is successful, that copy gets deleted.

The Dropbox app will need at least 500 MB of free space on the device to work correctly.

Can you please try freeing up some space on your phone, to see if that helps?

Let me know how it goes!

I don't think that is the issue. My phone has approximately 130 GB available.

Hi @Amyjanec13, thanks for this info!

Can you please try to uninstall the Dropbox app from your phone, restart your device and then reinstall it, to see if that helps?

Let me know how it goes!
